For Students & PhD Candidates

Polaris focuses on RF technology across multiple domains: radar, MRI, and telecommunication. Our research spans from materials and electronics to applications and system integration.

PhD positions are offered through our academic partners. Open calls are published on their websites and promoted through the Polaris network. Check our PhD page for updates.

You will work in a collaborative, cross-organizational setting. In addition to your academic research, you’ll engage with industry partners and contribute to joint goals in research and valorisation.

A strong foundation in electrical engineering, physics, or a related field is essential. Experience in RF or related technologies is a plus, but not always required.

Polaris is funded by the Dutch National Growth Fund. While funding is allocated to consortium activities, new collaborations can be explored through joint projects or aligned initiatives.

We are developping financial instruments. Infomation on this will become available when the Open Call is launched, also see Q1 of the FAQ.

These include joint research, valorisation projects, technology development, and ecosystem events. We also welcome startup involvement and innovation challenges.
