What is an Associate Partner?
An Associate Partner is an organization connected to the POLARIS ecosystem without being part of the formal consortium structure. It is a low-threshold entry point that enables you to:

- stay informed about developments and opportunities
- explore collaboration in a structured way
- position your organization within a growing innovation network
Associate Partner status is designed to be flexible, open, and easy to access.
Why POLARIS created this model
Future RF systems require integration across the full value chain, from materials and chips to packaging and complete systems. No single organization can cover this entire chain alone. POLARIS therefore builds an open ecosystem, where collaboration across disciplines and domains leads to stronger impact and faster innovation.
The Associate Partner model expands this ecosystem by bringing in new expertise, fresh perspectives, and additional capabilities.

Who can join
The Associate Partner model is open to:
- Companies (SMEs and large enterprises)
- Knowledge institutes
To become an Associate Partner, your organization must at the minimum:
- have a presence in the Netherlands with relevant R&D activities
- Organizations may have international headquarters (within the EU), provided they contribute to the Dutch ecosystem.
- contribute knowledge or capabilities that are specifically relevant to the RF domain
Organizations that aspire to join the POLARIS network as an associate partner state that they align with the mission of POLARIS to contribute to the Netherlands’ long-term innovative strength and international position in RF technology.

With your permission, we will also publish your organization’s profile on the POLARIS website as one of POLARIS’ associate partners.

How it works
Joining the POLARIS ecosystem as an Associate Partner is straightforward:
Associate Partnership is free of charge and requires no partnership agreement or commitment to join projects.
Learn about the ecosystem and opportunities
Share your expertise and interests
You will be contacted by a small delegation from the POLARIS program for an introductory conversation to assess your application.
After approval, you become part of the ecosystem network.
