The University of Twente is an entrepreneurial technical university where engineering, science and social sciences come together. Its Integrated Circuit Design group develops analogue and RF CMOS circuits, including receivers, transmitters, converters, timing circuits and power stages. Research ideas are validated in test chips fabricated with industry.
Microelectronics / RF Systems
Next-generation MRI; advanced radar systems; wireless connectivity; RF components and integrated RF systems.
Within POLARIS, the University of Twente develops circuit-level solutions for more capable and resilient RF systems. Its four approved projects address switched-mode RF power amplifiers with integrated sensing and control for MRI, ultra-linear receivers, compact high-level mixers and redundant amplifiers. This work builds on the university’s expertise in analogue and RF CMOS design, linking new circuit architectures and test-chip validation to applications in MRI, radar and wireless communication.
